| Zombie Me |
Whenever you just feel the need to celebrate with friends but you don't really have a reason to, make one up! That's what we did with our first themed party. We have a lot of friends that like a good zombie movie, so we decided to get together to celebrate it. We asked party goers to dress the part. Even though we didn't plan this, we ended up with an equal amount of zombies and survivors, which made for fun pictures (see below). We started with food and the more serious movie to see who could stomach it (I had to sit away from the TV,
personally). Then we went to lighter movies and games. Our group played Zombie Flux, which allowed everyone to play at the same time. As another option, you could also take turns playing Left 4 Dead (depending on how many people and controllers you have). At the end, we took pictures and voted for the best costume (the prize was a DVD copy of Zombieland we got on sale at Target). It was a frightfully good time.
Food: Spaghetti with meatballs, garlic cheese bread (because we like it), and drinks of choice (Bloody Marys would be appropriate if your group likes those. We just had sodas.)
Movies: Dawn of the Dead,
Sean of the Dead, and
Zombieland (something serious and something light)
Games: Zombie Flux, Left 4 Dead (for Xbox, PC, or PS3), costume contest
