Nubia Cafe is an Arabic restaurant and hookah bar in Anaheim. I had never been to a hookah bar before, but it was a place Nathan and his roommates liked to frequent when they were in college and I got invited along so I couldn't pass up the opportunity. The place is a little hard to find. Just look for the bright yellow signs along the strip mall (to the right of the Dollar Tree). There is very little parking that isn't reserved in the lot attached to the restaurant, but there's tons in

La Palma Chicken Pie Shop in Anaheim, CA
Rating: You Should Go
The La Palma Chicken Pie Shop has been around for decades, and so have its employees/customers. The decorations look like they haven't changed since they first opened, either. Although this place caters to an older crowd, it has a nice small-town feel

Muzeo in Anaheim, CA
Rating: You Might Like It
I love trying out new museums (especially as a future teacher scoping out possible field trip spots). Muzeo is a rather small museum in the business district of Anaheim. Instead of having several different-themed rooms, it focuses on one theme at a time that takes up the entire space, ensuring a new experience every time you visit. When we went in 2008, the theme was Africa (which I was excited to see after having visited Africa the year before). Right now, the exhibit is Gold, and starting June 11th it will be Chocolate (yum!).

Light the Night 5K and Fun Run
Rating: You Should Go
I didn't realize how involved Stater Bros is with charity work until we met our friend who works there. She told us about the Light the Night 5K that's held at Angel's stadium to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Being fans on the Angels and having had a family member who died young of leukemia, Nate and I jumped on the opportunity to take part in this charity walk.

Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in Anaheim, CA
Rating: You Should Go
We celebrated Nate's 23rd birthday at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney. Rick Solem was the piano player featured that night (it was a Monday) and we hoped to get a good seat. We made reservations and forgot to request to sit

Angels Game Tips and Deals
Rating: You Should Go
We are Angels fans that love to get out and see the guys play. We've gone to five games so far this year at an average cost of $12 a person ($5 up to $20 on a splurge event).
Our first trip we sat on the first base side, Lower View Level. Lower View is probably
