Rating: You Should Go
The La Palma Chicken Pie Shop has been around for decades, and so have its employees/customers. The decorations look like they haven't changed since they first opened, either. Although this place caters to an older crowd, it has a nice small-town feel
and delicious desserts that make it a good stop for all ages. I love this place for their thick and creamy chicken noodle soup. They use a yellow gravy (that they also smother their chicken pot pies in) that warms my stomach and my heart. And you can't beat the price. A dinner special comes with soup, salad, bread, potatoes (or fries), an entree, and a dessert for only $6.75! I had the chicken pot pie and Nate had a ham and cheese melt...both were delicious, although the chicken pot pie was a little bland (as were the mashed potatoes). If you want a place that really takes you back in time and serves good food, I'd definitely recommend you try this place.
