Rating: You Should Go
T. Phillips Ale House is just a short walk from the University of La Verne. It's a cute downtown area that would be fun just to walk around. The building has a vintage feel, which is aided by the old pictures and signs they have hung everywhere. This is also the kind of place
where they give you packs of peanuts and people throw the shells on the floor, so this is not a place for people with peanut allergies.
For those of us lucky enough not to have a deadly nut allergy, the food and the atmosphere are great. It's very relaxing and not too noisy, so even large groups can hear each other across the tables. They have a wide variety of foods. Nate and I shared a turkey croissant and shoestring fries (which was surprisingly filling). It was very good and not very expensive (around $10 a plate).
