St. Elias Brewing Company in Soldotna, AK

The front entrance
Rating: You Should Go

St. Elias is a pizza place and brewing company that was recommended to us by Nate's friend who lived in Soldotna. We stopped here on our way to Homer from Seward. The ambiance in the place was great. All the employees dressed casually and were friendly. They had old window panes and star lanterns hung between every
table and stained glass hanging in every window. They also had paintings strewn about the walls to give the whole thing a homey, artsy feel. Since this is a pizzeria, we got "build your own" pizza with chicken, pineapple, and bacon. We also got a side of cheese bread. This was where we first learned that the chicken in Alaska is not the best. Besides the chewy chicken, though, the rest of the food was good. An 11" pizza cost from $12-$14 and was just enough for the 2 of us, even after the cheese bread. It was a good stop and a much needed rest after a long day in Seward and a long drive to Homer.
