Hudson House in Redondo Beach, CA

Rating: You Should Go

We recently had a friend visiting from Alaska but staying near Long Beach. Where do we take him? Yelp to the rescue. We found the Hudson House Bar on Yelp as a top pick for a place to get good beer and food. We were a
little nervous since we had never been to Redondo Beach, let alone this bar. The trip turned out surprisingly well. Although the area around the Hudson House may be lacking charm, the bar itself is both chic and relaxing. They have a huge beer and wine menu to choose from. The food was also amazing (although there wasn't as big of a selection here). Most of us got the pulled pork and prosciutto sandwich, but Nate got the pretzel burger. Both were delicious, as were our shoestring and sweet potato fries. The prices are good (around $10 a plate and $7 a drink). The happy hour is extremely limited, so I wouldn't bend over backwards trying to work it into your schedule. This restaurant is definitely worth visiting at any time.
