Nate and I decided to celebrate my birthday a weekend early with just the two of us. We had a friend giving a free concert in Newbury Park so we looked for places in that area to have brunch. We found Country Harvest Restaurant. It's a rather large restaurant in a small strip mall. The
sign kind of threw me off because it has calligraphy-style font, but it's actually an American home-cooking diner place. The inside was an elementary school teacher's paradise, all done up for St. Patrick's Day with shamrocks hanging from the ceiling. Nate had a breakfast sandwich (which was the only breakfast entree that didn't come with a biscuit so he ordered it on the side). As you can see from the picture below, the sandwich and biscuit were huge. I ordered the French toast place, which came with one egg and bacon or sausage. Both meals were delicious. The eggs were especially good. Even though it looked like a lot of egg, they were light and fluffy. I was able to eat everything without trouble. The cost came to only $10 a person including a glass of juice each. If you're ever in that area, definitely stop by.
