The Sahara Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada

Rating: You Might Like It/Don't Go

We did not take any pictures of our room or hotel during our stay at the Sahara.  It might be better that we didn't.  We stayed in a room that was $50 a night on the weekend.  The room was clean but the furniture was scratched and had cigarette burns.  There was an extra fee to have a refrigerator in the room ($10
a night) and no microwave or coffee pot.  There was also a rather small TV on a low dresser.  Internet use requires another fee.  The first night, we had a room with two double beds, so we were cozy (apparently when you book online you're only guaranteed a room, not a certain type of room).  The next morning we awoke to the fire alarm at 8am (which was due to a malfunction in the system).

After moving our stuff to a new room with a King bed that afternoon, we went down to the pool.  It was nice that the pool was not crowded and we found a place to set our stuff, but the pool was also 3 1/2 feet deep.  It was just a normal rectangular pool with rounded ends and a jacuzzi on the side.  The bar was adequate and the water was cool enough.  Basically, we got what we paid for.  We have decided to plan our next trip to Vegas during the week so we can stay at a nicer casino the for the same price.
