Rating: You Should Go
We celebrated Nate's 23rd birthday at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney. Rick Solem was the piano player featured that night (it was a Monday) and we hoped to get a good seat. We made reservations and forgot to request to sit
close to the music, but as luck would have it, we were right next to the stage. The piano was studded with Mardi Gras beads and the music was both fun and soothing. We had to wait a bit for everyone to get there (it's a little difficult to find parking). We ordered drinks and an appetizer of garlic cheese bread (which Nathan tells me was really good). I got the Andouille Crusted Yellowtale and Nate got the Grilled Chicken and Penne. Both were really good and just the right amount of food (there's not really enough food to share a plate unless you get the half chicken). I also got the French Quarter salad and we shared a White Chocolate Hot Fudge Brownie for dessert. It was all delicious. The food is a little expensive and each item is full-priced unless you get their 3-course deal. Our total bill came to around $80 for the two of us. It has a fun and relaxing atmosphere, great food, and great music.
Note: Parking is free if you stay under 3 hours in Downtown Disney. If you get your parking ticket validated they add an extra hour.
